Finished the story


Some good amount of content and bugfix update. Why it goes to 8 and not 6? the jump in progress is relatively significant so I think it is safe to set it to 8

Content

Finally the story and all its arc/level is done, or at least the first iteration of the story. I might edit and tweak somethings here and there.

 Change the sprite of several characters, because I'm not satisfied with the previous art. And speaking of art. For months I have no clue where the art direction should be, and around 3-4 months ago I stumbled upon something called kurowear/shirowear, I'm not really sure how it is categorized. It might be some subculture of techwear or something. It just looks tacticool, perfect for the direction of the combatant characters in the game IMO. The urban smell of the style might not fit with outer exploration 

The sound direction is still a mess. With some 8bit music for some scene and synth/sampled music for other. I was thinking about artcore or techcore music like something made by tn-shi, but my skill with LMMS still need refining. So whatever I can cobble up it is for now

miss the intermission bgm? now it is re-introduced on ending as its BGM. It feels so fit in that scene.

1 Final, final boss

some bugfix

- upgrade/workbench screen now should be functional. It was riddled with bug because it wasn't my priority. 

-  drill construct, should behave correctly now.

- some cutscene BGM leaked into stage select scene, now it is fixed

- minor font update to keep things consistent

What next?

Next update probably not gonna happened for a while. There are some music I want to add to the game, but again, I need to level up my music production skill. I'm already planning on continuing the story of sven and the world and I leave some hint on the story. But for now, I need to take a break from game dev and working on my other project that has been abandoned for 3 months.

For the continuation of the game, I'm planning to update the similar combat mechanic, but add in some dungeon exploration while testing the capability of the hanashi library I made.
